Ceramics Display Table

I was commissioned by a local ceramics artist to make a table with shelf to display his ceramics. I used a characterful slab of well-seasoned locally grown oak, and used sycamore legs. The sycamore tree was literally growing in a garden a couple of miles down the road from my workshop, and had been split ad shaved over a year ago, so was perfectly dry. The lower shelf is notched around the legs, and bedded on four stainless steel dowels which protrude unobrusively from the legs.
